Your daily responsibilities will involve the end-to-end lifecycle management of enterprise APIs using Amazon API Gateway. This includes designing, developing, configuring, and supporting APIs across development, test, and production environments.

You will build and manage various API types (REST, HTTP, WebSocket), integrate them with essential AWS services like Lambda, ECS/EKS, and ALB, and implement comprehensive security measures using IAM, Cognito, OAuth 2.0, and WAF. Automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines is crucial, as is implementing robust monitoring and logging solutions. You'll also be tasked with troubleshooting complex API issues, collaborating with diverse teams, and optimizing APIs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Maintaining detailed technical documentation and participating in continuous improvement initiatives are key aspects of this role.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 6+ years of IT/software engineering experience, including at least 3 years specifically with Amazon API Gateway, RESTful API development, and hands-on AWS cloud services. A strong background in API security implementation (IAM, Cognito, OAuth 2.0) and experience with DevOps/CI/CD tools are essential.

Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
