As a key member of the EY-Assurance Team, you will serve as the primary GDS point of contact for tasks delegated by global client-serving assurance teams. Your role will encompass ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables while overseeing day-to-day engagement operations. This presents a significant opportunity to collaborate with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe, deepening your understanding of international accounting and assurance principles.

Lead and support a portfolio of engagements, guiding Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates to ensure timely, high-quality work aligned with EY methodology and client expectations. Demonstrate expertise in EY service delivery, quality projects, and risk management procedures. Foster strong relationships with global engagement teams, facilitating seamless transitions of new services to GDS Assurance with unwavering quality. Proactively manage workflows, allocate resources, monitor performance, and oversee team utilization and operational matters. Maintain professionalism, clarity, and effectiveness in all communications with GDS and engagement teams, establishing high standards for delivered value and identifying opportunities for GDS Assurance process improvement. Standardize assurance practices, leverage best practices, and foster team growth through delegation, performance reviews, and continuous development. Actively contribute to organizational initiatives including recruitment and diversity.

Possess expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards, with UK GAAP, US GAAP, or International assurance standards being a valuable asset. Exhibit excellent verbal and written English communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal, risk management, facilitation, and presentation abilities. Demonstrate proficiency in project management, leadership, coaching, counselling, and supervisory skills. Cultivate a positive work culture, embrace teaming, and embody EY values. Develop strong working relationships with colleagues both in India and globally.

To meet the role's demands, you must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience, or a Qualified ACCA/CPA with 7-8 years of post-qualification experience. Prior articleship with a top or mid-tier accounting firm is expected. Experience within a mid- or top-tier accounting firm focused on external or assurance reviews, or with MNCs/larger Indian companies, preferably in a Shared Service Environment or Big 4 Firms (Indian & Global practice) is essential. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office, along with a keen interest in business and commerciality, is also required.
