As a key member of the EY Assurance team, you will be the primary point of contact for global client-serving assurance teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks and managing daily engagement operations. This position provides an excellent platform to collaborate virtually or directly with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe, deepening your understanding of international accounting and assurance principles.

Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates to support a portfolio of engagements, ensuring deliverables meet EY's methodology and client expectations. You will drive the adoption of EY's service delivery methods, support quality assurance initiatives like pre-issuance reviews, and manage client relationships with assurance executives. Embedding EY's Risk Management procedures into engagement work is crucial.

Transition new engagements to GDS Assurance while maintaining exceptional service quality. Proactively manage workflows, allocate resources, and monitor team performance against standards and budgets. Maintain professionalism and clarity in communication with GDS and engagement teams, establishing clear expectations for value delivery. Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardize assurance practices, leveraging best practices across engagements.

Foster team growth through delegation, performance reviews, and constructive feedback. Utilize technology for continuous learning and knowledge sharing, enhancing service delivery. Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to develop team capabilities and actively participate in organizational initiatives like recruitment and diversity programs.

To excel in this role, you must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience, or a Qualified ACCA/CPA with 7-8 years of post-qualification experience. Articleship with top or mid-tier accounting firms is expected.

Demonstrate experience in external assurance reviews within a mid- or top-tier accounting firm, or within a Shared Service Environment in an MNC or large Indian company. Experience within Big 4 firms, both Indian and global practices, is highly advantageous. A strong command of Indian accounting and assurance standards is essential, with knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, or International assurance standards being a significant plus.

Essential skills include excellent verbal and written English communication, effective interpersonal skills, risk management, facilitation, and presentation abilities. Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling, and supervisory skills are vital. The ability to foster a positive work culture, promote teaming, and live EY values is expected, alongside the capacity to quickly build strong working relationships with colleagues in India and global teams.
