As a Manager in the Assurance department, you will be the primary point of contact for global client-serving assurance teams, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables while managing daily engagement operations. This position provides an excellent platform to collaborate virtually with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe, deepening your understanding of international accounting and assurance principles.

Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates to deliver high-quality work in accordance with EY methodology and client expectations. Ensure timely execution of assignments and actively participate in quality assurance projects.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with engagement team counterparts in the Americas and Europe. Understand and embed EY's Risk Management procedures into engagement activities. Facilitate smooth transitions of new engagements to GDS Assurance while upholding service quality.

Proactively manage workflow, allocate resources, and monitor team performance against standards. Oversee team utilization, budget adherence, and operational efficiency. Communicate professionally and clearly with GDS and engagement teams.

Identify opportunities to enhance GDS Assurance's scope of work and standardize assurance processes leveraging best practices. Foster team growth by encouraging contributions, leading by example, and delegating effectively to build high-performing teams. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and training. Utilize technology for continuous learning and knowledge sharing, contributing to technical and soft-skills development.

To excel in this role, you should be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience, or a Qualified ACCA/CPA with 7-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Experience with top or mid-tier accounting firms, particularly in external or assurance reviews, or within an MNC or large Indian company's shared service environment, is highly valued. Big 4 firm experience, both Indian and global practices, is also preferred.

Essential skills include expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards, excellent verbal and written communication in English, and strong interpersonal, risk management, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in project management, leadership, coaching, counselling, and supervisory abilities is crucial. The capacity to foster a positive work culture, promote teaming, and live EY values is expected.
