This Assurance Consultant role within the EY-Assurance Team involves cultivating strong relationships with global EY teams and overseeing the delivery of engagement management support activities for GDS engagements. The opportunity focuses on candidates with experience in conducting routine substantive and controls-based assurance testing for financial year-end engagements across Europe or the US regions.

Key responsibilities include meticulously documenting the execution of assigned review procedures, demonstrating a foundational understanding of specific industries and their technical challenges. You will stay abreast of current business and economic trends impacting clients and identify potential review issues or unusual financial statement relationships, escalating them to your supervisor. Collaboration with seniors and engagement teams to set objectives and responsibilities is crucial.

Deliver work adhering to designated methodologies, project plans, and EY standards. Exhibit professionalism, competence, and clear communication in all team interactions. Maintain a strong client focus, respond promptly to team requests, and foster productive working relationships. Appropriately challenge existing procedures to enhance review techniques and compare the efficiency of review processes across clients, proposing improvements.

Contribute valuable ideas and insights to assurance teams, actively listening to and responding to colleagues' viewpoints. Essential qualifications include completing CA or CA Inter with completed articleship. While not mandatory, 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.
