The Associate Vice President position is within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) - Transaction Accounting & Controls (TCF) - Financial Diligence team, focusing on the Consumer Products and Healthcare sectors.
In this capacity, you will support clients in navigating complex strategic, financial, operational, and commercial challenges. Your work will involve assisting corporates, private equity, governments, and other institutions with critical financial issues, capital allocation, financial planning analytics, and decision support, ultimately helping them manage risk and optimize capital efficiency.
Execute client service delivery across a diverse client base, taking ownership of smaller clients with near independence.
Manage client relationships effectively by developing rapport with middle management layers.
Ensure strict adherence to risk management strategies, plans, and activities, proactively identifying and escalating risk issues on client assignments.
Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and process improvements to enhance team efficiency and knowledge capture.
Begin identifying new business opportunities within existing client portfolios and communicate these insights to management.
Foster internal networking across peer groups and different firm levels to gain a comprehensive understanding of client-related issues.
A Chartered Accountant qualification with a strong academic record and 1-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience is essential.
Demonstrated understanding of target company business, competitive positioning, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges.
Proficiency in analyzing historical and current financial information, as well as projections and underlying assumptions.
Ability to identify deal issues, assess their impact on transactions (e.g., valuation), and recommend mitigation strategies.
Experience in analyzing transaction risks and developing effective mitigation plans.
Understanding of transaction structures and the ability to advise on structuring issues.
High team orientation, excellent written and oral communication skills (including report writing), and strong analytical capabilities are crucial.
Proven ability to build client relationships and experience in due diligence as part of an M&A team or with a Big 3 CA firm.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in audit and assurance from Big 4 CA firms, coupled with some due diligence exposure, and industry experience primarily in data analysis, MIS, or project handling.
