This role is part of the National TAX team, which comprises sector-agnostic professionals working across diverse industries. Within the CBS - FIN - FP&A Account Support function, you will collaborate with globally coordinated tax professionals, offering insights and leveraging technology to assist clients in navigating complex tax policies and laws worldwide. Our expertise spans Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Global Law, Indirect Tax, International Tax, and Transaction Services.
You will manage the crucial client setup and acceptance processes, including conducting essential market research for business development and background verification. Your role involves diligently setting up new clients in Mercury, processing OMS and PACE forms, and obtaining necessary OAR approvals for engagements. You'll also handle engagement acceptance, including checking for markups and conflicts, and securing clearance from relevant departments on channel conflicts or allowable services for specific account types.
Key responsibilities extend to managing the entire engagement lifecycle in Mercury, from initial setup and GST detail verification to processing overseas PSMs and ensuring compliance with QRM guidelines. You will monitor Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) status, processing adjustments for ERP, WIP, and unbilled OPEs. Furthermore, you will oversee code closure, manage subcontracting, and issue work orders.
Your invoicing duties will include raising draft and final invoices, handling reversals and re-issues, and processing foreign office invoices. You'll verify SEZ documents for billing and follow up on collections and TDS. Overseas payments through OPRS requests, including verification of PSMs, TRCs, and 10Fs, will also be part of your remit, alongside ensuring BRET compliance and adhering to procurement processes for third-party services.
Additional responsibilities include creating EY IMD workspaces and uploading basic documents, as well as uploading ELs on GEAR. You will also be responsible for preparing and analyzing daily/monthly reports, including weekly tracking of Cost Analysis MIS, Actual vs Budgeted figures, and BU performance metrics such as revenue, utilization, AR, and WIP for respective locations.
To excel in this role, a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is required. Further qualifications, such as a Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), are also highly valued.
