EY seeks a motivated Consultant to join our national Tax and Transaction Advisory team in Mumbai. As a Consultant, your primary responsibilities will involve conducting client engagements professionally, adhering to contract terms and client expectations. You will prepare and file tax returns, draft submissions for tax authorities, and advise on inbound/outbound structuring for employee mobility. This includes gaining working knowledge of immigration and provident fund regulations concerning expatriates.

You will also contribute to operational excellence by assisting in project execution, delivering work effectively, and collaborating with tax professionals to provide comprehensive solutions. Ensuring assigned tasks are completed according to work programs, firm methodologies, and professional standards is crucial. Effectively utilizing electronic working papers, software applications, and knowledge sources for research, and analyzing data to produce accurate and timely tax products are key aspects of this role.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, alongside proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A strong analytical and numerical ability is essential, coupled with the capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a self-starter, a team player with a keen ability to grasp details and strong time management skills.

We require candidates to be certified Chartered Accountants (CA) with 0-1 year of relevant experience. Ideally, you should also demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be highly flexible, adaptable, creative, and comfortable interacting with senior executives both within EY and at client organizations.
