Join Google's Trust & Safety team as an Associate Principal, dedicated to upholding the integrity and safety of our products. This role is crucial for identifying and tackling complex challenges that impact user and partner security across Google's vast ecosystem. You'll leverage technical expertise, sharp problem-solving abilities, user insights, and proactive communication to protect millions from abuse and fraud.

Our mission is to deliver safe and trustworthy shopping experiences, making the internet a more secure place. As part of a team comprising Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, you'll work across more than 40 languages to reduce risk and fight abuse in areas like malware, spam, and account hijacking.

Spearhead high-impact projects aimed at enhancing user safety and experience, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Conduct thorough investigative fraud and abuse analysis, generating actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Proactively identify opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiencies, then drive these solutions to completion. Regularly mentor and provide guidance to team members, fostering their growth and development. Participate in on-call duties on a rotating basis, including weekend and holiday coverage. Handle sensitive content and situations, potentially encountering graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a closely related field.

Preferred qualifications include experience in business analysis, statistical analysis, or Machine Learning, alongside strong project and process management skills. The ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity to solve large, unstructured business problems, particularly within fraud investigations and risk management.

Exceptional process/project management, prioritization, multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the capacity to process significant data volumes to drive business strategies. Excellent communication skills are vital for clear interaction with diverse, cross-regional, and cross-functional stakeholders.
