Conduct comprehensive due diligence reviews for new and existing clients, encompassing corporate, partnership, trust, and sole trader entities. Perform ongoing customer due diligence, including screenings for Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), adverse news, and sanctions matches, adhering to AML and KYC standards. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and drive process improvements. Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all due diligence activities and findings. Provide regular reports and updates to management on due diligence progress and outcomes. Assist in the development and implementation of EDD policies and procedures. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to EDD.
University graduate with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking, compliance, or audit, specifically in client onboarding under relevant AML legislations across NA, EU, and APAC jurisdictions. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are highly desirable. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Solid understanding of Corporate & Institutional Banking and Global Markets frameworks within International Financial Groups. Familiarity with Due Diligence and local Anti-Money Laundering requirements is expected. A working knowledge of AML-related regulations, including BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, SEC, FINRA, and other applicable US, UK, and EMEA regulations, is necessary. Demonstrated ability to identify potential process shortcomings and required enhancements.
