Your primary duties will involve deeply understanding and analyzing project requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure thorough test coverage. You will be responsible for designing, writing, and executing comprehensive manual test cases across various applications. This includes conducting functional, UI, regression, and smoke testing to identify any issues.
Key responsibilities also include effectively identifying, logging, tracking, and verifying defects throughout their lifecycle. You will prepare and manage essential test data for execution and actively collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and address any emerging concerns. Furthermore, you will actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, while supporting release activities and maintaining accurate test documentation.
We are looking for candidates with approximately one year of practical experience in manual testing and a good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban is essential, alongside a robust understanding of requirement analysis, test case preparation, and execution.
Basic knowledge of API manual testing using tools like Postman is required. Exposure to test management tools such as Jira, Xray, or TestLink is considered a significant advantage. A foundational understanding of cross-browser and cross-device testing is also necessary. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities are key. The capacity to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment is vital, as is a proactive approach to task ownership and a genuine eagerness to learn and advance in the testing field.
