Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services as an Engagement Manager and lead complex cloud solution projects. You'll combine technical acumen with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based implementations for clients. This role involves bridging business needs with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer objectives.

Leverage AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework to demonstrate technical credibility across diverse stakeholders. You will translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications, break down complex challenges, and make strategic trade-offs considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact.

We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives, offering specialized guidance through global specialty practices across various solutions, technologies, and industries.

As a seasoned technology program/project manager, you will spearhead cloud migration or implementation projects. Develop deep knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices, applying them effectively in client engagements. Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions to align with customer business outcomes.

Distill customer needs into precise technical requirements and link them to business objectives. Decompose intricate technical problems into manageable, deliverable solutions. Create and refine team and engagement documentation, contributing to operational excellence through status updates, timesheets, and reports. Proactively learn to anticipate, manage, and escalate engagement risks and issues to internal stakeholders.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Demonstrate experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Possess experience managing technical projects within Agile and/or iterative delivery environments. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems is essential. Hold a cloud certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, or commit to obtaining one within six months of hire.

Experience leading IT or cloud project delivery for external customers, including managing schedule, scope, and financial outcomes against contracts, is preferred. Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps is advantageous. Holding a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate is a plus.

Proven ability to build technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers is key. Experience in identifying, managing, and escalating project risks and issues promptly is expected. Proficiency in stakeholder analysis and managing relationships across diverse customer and internal groups is beneficial. Familiarity with delivery frameworks like Waterfall, Agile, ITIL, or the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) is desirable.
