Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) as an Independence Process Lead and take ownership of an assigned portfolio of GDS Independence processes. This role is crucial for ensuring governance, quality, and overall process health. You will act as a process steward and quality oversight leader, providing insights into process performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

This position requires establishing process priorities, guiding Process SMRs, and driving initiatives to enhance consistency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. Collaboration with Global Process Owners, Geo Leads, and Regional/Country Leaders is key to embedding global standards, managing risks proactively, and implementing sustainable process improvements. Through strong governance and data-driven insights, you will enable consistent execution and elevate the quality of Independence services across GDS.

Key responsibilities include leading the governance agenda for assigned GDS processes and maintaining an integrated view of process health, quality, and risks. You will establish portfolio priorities for assurance and remediation efforts, driving the consistent application of global standards. Oversight of risk-based quality and assurance across the portfolio is essential, along with reviewing significant findings and determining escalation needs. Analyzing recurring issues and root causes will inform remediation priorities, ensuring accountability and confirmation that corrective actions address underlying causes.

Furthermore, you will oversee the implementation of approved process changes and maintain essential documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories. Translating global changes into practical guidance and supporting effective adoption through communication and learning strategies are vital. Partnering with stakeholders to strengthen process performance, provide clear recommendations, and influence decisions through data-driven insights is also a core aspect of the role. Leading, coaching, and developing Process SMRs, establishing clear expectations, and fostering a strong pipeline of process stewardship capability will contribute to team and organizational success.

To excel in this role, a university degree, including a master's or post-graduate degree, or equivalent professional experience in business, accounting, finance, risk, compliance, or operations is required. You should possess 12-14 years of relevant experience in professional services, global delivery, Independence, risk, or a similar controlled service environment. Demonstrated people leadership, stakeholder management, quality and controls expertise, and change implementation skills are essential.

Strong Independence or risk and compliance knowledge, with the ability to connect process decisions to business outcomes, is crucial. Proven experience in quality management, assurance, root cause analysis, risk assessment, control effectiveness reviews, and remediation oversight is necessary. You must be able to identify systemic issues, assess risks, and drive sustainable improvements. Excellent written and spoken English, along with confidence operating across different time zones and cultures, is expected. Evidence of portfolio leadership, senior stakeholder credibility, and cross-process judgment appropriate for Rank 62 or aspiring Rank 62 is also a key qualification.
