Join our Deal Transformation and Post-Merger Integration team as an Associate Director in Mumbai. This role is pivotal in guiding financial services clients through complex M&A transactions, focusing on integration and separation strategies. You'll be instrumental in helping businesses navigate growth and rationalization through mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures.
As part of Deloitte's global network, you will leverage deep industry expertise and transformational capabilities. Our Mergers & Acquisitions practice provides end-to-end solutions, from initial strategy to post-transaction restructuring, ensuring clients drive performance across all critical M&A functions.
Your role will involve direct contribution to client engagements, specializing in organization readiness and integration or carve-outs within M&A scenarios for financial services clients, particularly in the banking sector.
Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing separation strategies. - Assessing financial and operational interdependencies. - Defining operating models, organization structures, and governance for restructured entities. - Managing Separation Management Offices (SMO) and assessing TSA requirements. - Contributing to integration planning, Day 1/100 readiness, and IT landscape assessments. - Evaluating deal feasibility, identifying operational risks, and assessing post-deal transformation opportunities. - Planning and delivering functional integrations for Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, and HR. - Identifying and defining roadmaps for synergy realization and advising on benefit tracking.
We seek candidates with proven experience in large-scale transformations, including pre- or post-deal M&A transactions within the financial services or banking industry. A strong understanding of the banking value chain, either from a business or advisory perspective, is essential.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate: - 3-12 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably banking. - Excellent academic records for both undergraduate and graduate coursework, with an MBA being a significant advantage. - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities. - Leadership qualities and the capacity to mentor junior team members. - A proactive approach and the drive for independent learning. - A willingness to travel for client engagements. Understanding the technology landscape of a financial services or banking organization will be a key differentiator.
