As an Associate Director within EY GDS's Commercial Excellence team, specifically Strategic Pricing & Insights, you will provide crucial financial and commercial leadership for EY’s most significant and high-value opportunities. This role blends pursuit leadership with commercial transformation, requiring expertise in architecting innovative pricing strategies, influencing senior stakeholders, and leading a dynamic team to enhance winnability and profitability. Additionally, you will advance EY's commercial transformation by championing best practices, tools, and thought leadership initiatives.
You will serve as a vital liaison for onshore engagement and business leaders, fostering trusted relationships to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment on pursuit objectives.
Spearhead end-to-end pricing and commercial strategies for large, complex deals, from qualification to closure. Develop business cases, design commercial structures, optimize deal pricing, and ensure alignment with EY's profitability and risk frameworks.
Lead the development of client-facing proposals and commercial narratives, ensuring strategic alignment and executive positioning. Actively support high-stakes negotiations and articulate EY's unique value proposition.
Integrate solution intelligence and competitive insights into price positioning using price-to-win analysis, market benchmarks, and behavioral economics principles.
Proactively identify, communicate, and manage competitive and commercial risks in collaboration with relevant teams including Deal Leader, Solution Architect, Legal, Risk Management, QRM, and Independence.
Act as a trusted bridge between pursuit leaders and delivery teams, ensuring consistent deal shaping, monetization approaches, and commercial terms and conditions.
Drive the adoption of best practice pricing methods, tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms, synthesizing external insights, solution design, and historical performance to accelerate value-based pricing.
Establish team KPIs and accountability metrics, ensuring compliance with internal policies, risk management, and pursuit hygiene standards.
Contribute to thought leadership by developing pricing frameworks, training programs, and knowledge capital, including white papers and presentations.
Lead and mentor team members to enhance their technical and commercial capabilities, acting as a regional or sector pod lead when necessary.
Cultivate a growth-oriented culture and support transformative career paths for team members through structured feedback and capability-building programs.
Mentor teams in creating client-facing materials, including value articulation, pricing proposals, and Statement of Work (SOW) sections.
Serve as a technical subject matter resource, providing peer review and risk mitigation for financial modeling, analysis, and documentation.
Demonstrate proven expertise in value-based pricing, commercial strategy, and competitive intelligence within professional services.
Possess strong leadership and coaching abilities, with the capacity to influence without direct authority, manage conflicts, and inspire high-performing teams.

Possess a graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or financial certifications (CFA, CMA, CPA) are preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or financial planning, preferably within professional services or SaaS/cloud environments.
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) are advantageous.
Exhibit advanced MS Excel and commercial modeling skills.
Familiarity with solution architecture and advanced analytics platforms is a plus.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required, along with flexibility to work across global time zones and occasional travel.
