As an HR Generalist within the Employee Lifecycle team, you will support the Bangalore GCC HR Shared Services operation. Your responsibilities include executing end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions such as hires, transfers, job changes, manager changes, and exits, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to policies. You will validate approvals, effective dates, and employee data fields, maintaining accurate case records and audit trails.
Key duties involve coordinating with HRBPs, payroll, and process owners to resolve data discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. You will also support knowledge transfer activities through shadowing and reverse-shadowing, providing process insights to confirm operational readiness. Identifying recurring issues and recommending process improvements will be crucial for enhancing the HR Shared Services capability.
You'll maintain high attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation discipline for audit-ready execution. Clear written communication and professional stakeholder follow-through are essential for managing global hand-offs effectively within a shared services model that includes SLAs, queues, and escalations.
To excel in this role, a minimum of 3-5 years of mandatory experience is required, with hands-on expertise in employee lifecycle management within HR operations, GCC, GBS, or shared services environments. Proficiency in HR ticketing systems, case documentation, SLA management, and maintaining employee data confidentiality is essential. The ability to utilize HR systems and process documentation for transaction execution and query resolution is critical.
Exposure to Workday HCM or SAP SuccessFactors for employee data lookup, transactions, reporting, or process validation is necessary. Experience with ServiceNow HRSD or a comparable helpdesk/case management workflow is required. Strong business English communication skills are vital to support global stakeholders effectively.
While not mandatory, experience in Pharma, life sciences, GCC, or regulated-industry HR operations is advantageous. Familiarity with BOT, transition or knowledge-transfer environments, process documentation, knowledge-base governance, dashboards, root-cause analysis, or continuous improvement initiatives would be beneficial. Awareness of data privacy regulations like GDPR and HR compliance is also a plus.
