Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager in Testing Automation, a crucial role within our Engineering as a Service/Operate division. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of a global quality services framework and shape software quality assurance test strategies. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and reliability of our software solutions.

This is an individual contributor role where your expertise will guide and influence the creation of formal quality assurance processes. You will be key in developing and supporting comprehensive test strategies, driving high standards across the organization. Guide and influence the development of a formal Global Quality Services Framework and support the creation of software quality assurance test strategies. Complete assignments and support business projects by leveraging subject matter expertise, developing work plans, and ensuring adherence to procedures. Collaborate cross-functionally to make informed business decisions, solve complex problems, and escalate risks as needed.

Foster self-development and encourage learning in others by sharing information, resources, and expertise. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influence through technical explanations, and adapt to changing responsibilities. Provide and seek performance feedback to drive continuous improvement. Identify and mitigate complex testing-related issues, dependencies, and risks. Determine testing scope and approach, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to approve strategies.

Ensure test plans and timelines align with project milestones. Lead the development of quality assurance test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for complex IT initiatives. Review and validate testable business processes, test data, and environment requirements. Define and enforce entry and exit criteria according to established testing standards. Manage the development of test scenarios and the execution of test cases across all phases, including SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, and Validation.

Generate scheduled reports on test execution and defects, providing daily metrics to IT teams and management. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for test plan approval and track quality metrics throughout testing phases. Develop QA project plans, identifying scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, and critical paths, ensuring proper staffing. Generate daily test execution metrics and reports, ensuring quality metrics are tracked across all testing phases.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of experience in SQA, software testing, or a related area is required. Alternatively, equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. A minimum of two years of experience with Appium mobile automation or other mobile automation tools like Selenium is essential, with Appium being preferred.

Candidates must possess at least one year of experience with native UI test tools such as Espresso and XCUI, and a minimum of one year of experience with device emulation and simulator tools like Perfecto or BrowserStack. Three years of experience in test automation using Java is mandatory, alongside three years of experience with test management tools like Qtest or QualityCenter, and defect management tools such as JIRA or Rally. Additionally, three years of experience with API test/debugging tools like Postman is required.

Functional testing is a mandatory requirement. For the Benefits Squad, XCUITest OR Espresso & Appium are mandatory. For all other squads, Appium is mandatory, with XCUITest OR Espresso being preferred. A minimum of one year in an informal lead role, working collaboratively with technical teams, is also necessary. Debugging failures using Splunk or DynaTrace is a plus, but the ability to debug defects by examining logs and traces is a must. Close collaboration with development teams to understand technical requirements and derive test cases and strategies is expected, working within an Agile and fast-paced environment.
