Join our team as an Assistant Manager, specializing in API Testing within our Engineering as a Service/Operate division in Pune. This role is pivotal in guiding the development of a global quality services framework and shaping software quality assurance test strategies.

Karate framework proficiency is essential for API test automation and debugging. The role requires a minimum of six years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and software testing, with a strong foundation in Java. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience may be considered.

This position is for an individual contributor responsible for influencing and enhancing our quality processes. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our software through rigorous testing methodologies. We are seeking a candidate who can not only execute but also strategize and lead in quality assurance initiatives.

Drive the development of comprehensive work plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and deadlines. Coordinate and assign resources effectively to achieve project goals. Collaborate across functional teams to facilitate informed business decisions and resolve complex issues.

Champion self-development and foster learning in others by sharing expertise and providing proactive support. Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and influence outcomes through clear technical communication.

Identify, define, and mitigate complex testing-related issues, dependencies, and risks. Determine appropriate testing scopes and approaches, and partner with IT and business stakeholders to gain approval for overall testing strategies.

Ensure test plans and timelines are synchronized with project milestones. Lead the development of QA test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for intricate IT initiatives. Review and validate testable business processes, test data, and environment requirements, ensuring adherence to entry and exit criteria.

A minimum of one year in an informal lead role working with technical teams is required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, along with at least six years of experience in SQA and software testing using Java. A minimum of two years of experience in Test Automation using Java, as well as in Test Management tools (e.g., Qtest, QualityCenter) and Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally) is essential.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience with API Test/Debugging tools (e.g., Postman) and two years of experience working in virtual testing environments. Proficiency in Java, Karate, Selenium, or other API & UI automation scripting languages is a must. The ability to debug failures by analyzing logs and traces is crucial.

We are looking for individuals who can work effectively in an Agile and fast-paced environment, closely collaborating with development teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and strategies. Experience with CI/CD tools, code reviews, and a background in healthcare testing environments are considered advantageous.
