Define scalable service boundaries, data flows, resiliency patterns, and integration strategies across multiple systems. Enforce clean code, design principles, secure coding, and branching strategies through rigorous code reviews. Mentor engineers by providing actionable feedback and promoting best engineering practices. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across JVM, APIs, databases, and network calls. Establish comprehensive logging, metrics, tracing standards, SLOs, and alerting for production services. Lead team execution, technical decision-making, and cross-team coordination within agile frameworks.

Possess 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering production Java services and APIs in enterprise settings. Demonstrate prior team leadership experience, whether formal or informal, including sprint execution, mentoring, and technical decision-making. Experience leading complex, multi-system initiatives, managing dependencies, trade-offs, and non-functional requirements. Proficiency in advanced Java, Spring Boot/Spring ecosystem, and enterprise integration patterns. Expertise in API and microservices design, including RESTful APIs, versioning, and microservices patterns. Solid experience with AWS, designing and deploying services with considerations for cost, security, and reliability. Strong SQL skills for query design, indexing, and execution plan analysis. Familiarity with observability tools and establishing reliability standards like SLOs and on-call readiness. Understanding of security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure API practices.
