Join our dynamic Strategy Growth Office team in Mumbai as an Assistant Manager, Legal (Contracts). This role is pivotal in conceptualizing, planning, and executing strategic initiatives. You will leverage your expertise in business strategy, operations, and legal contract management to drive impactful outcomes and monitor project performance.

We are seeking a proactive professional with a strong understanding of Indian law and excellent analytical and communication abilities. Your contributions will be crucial in navigating legal complexities and ensuring compliance within the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing various agreements, including services contracts, MSAs, GMSAs, JV agreements, NDAs, and tender documents, identifying potential legal and business risks. You will also draft and negotiate contract terms, advise the business on contractual rights and obligations, and oversee the legal implications of critical engagements.

Key duties include assisting in standardizing engagement documents and policies, leading negotiation efforts, and managing quality and risk matters related to internal compliances. You will also develop contractual formats, suggest improvements for standard agreements, and conduct training for team members on contractual and compliance issues. Staying updated on developments in contract law and assisting in preparing legal opinions are also core aspects of this position.

To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree and approximately 5 years of relevant experience. A solid understanding of fundamental subjects in Indian law is essential.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills for fact assessment and logical conclusion drawing, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities for drafting legal clauses and contracts. The capacity to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations to work assignments is critical. This role is based in Mumbai.
