This Assistant Manager role in Talent Consulting in Chennai is integral to empowering you with purpose and career-enhancing opportunities.
The Talent team collaborates across functions and service lines to develop strategic solutions supporting our company's strategy and employer value proposition (EVP). We partner with business leaders, offering strategic talent advice and leveraging best practices. Our team drives engagement locally, bringing our strategy and EVP to life, and includes workstreams like Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Mobility, Compensation and Benefits, and enabling functions such as HR Systems, Operations, and People Data Reporting and Analytics.
As a key player in the Talent team, you will provide support and guidance across various HR functions. This includes managing HR processes for 400-600 employees, working closely with business leads and counselors to enhance employee experience and drive HR strategies aligned with company goals.
Key responsibilities encompass: - Stakeholder Management: Building employee networks for real-time insights, coaching counselors, and contributing to monthly reviews. - Employee Advocacy and Engagement: Assisting in implementing new HR policies, supporting engagement plan design, and acting as an advocate for employee well-being. - Talent Management: Streamlining performance reviews, conducting retention conversations, addressing underperformance, and supporting new joiner integration. - Operational Excellence and Compliance: Handling HR processes for a specified employee group, maintaining high HR standards, resolving employee queries and grievances, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. - Initiatives: Participating in events, advising on social media engagement for Generation Z, and contributing to process automation efforts.
To excel in this role, you will need proven experience as an HR Business Partner or a similar capacity, coupled with a strong understanding of HR functions and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for navigating a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Further qualifications include: - Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations. - Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. - A Master's degree or HR certification is preferred. - A minimum of 6 years of HR experience, with 4+ years specifically in HR Operations.
