Lead technical ownership and strategic direction for Guidewire solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring Guidewire platforms are robust, scalable, and adhere to enterprise standards, extending beyond individual contributions to encompass technical vision, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

Beyond technical oversight, you will mentor engineers, serve as a primary technical escalation point, and drive continuous improvement across the platform. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the future of our Guidewire ecosystem.

Architect and implement Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and digital platforms. Drive solution design for complex, cross-module requirements, prioritizing Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) capabilities and approving customizations judiciously. Collaborate with architects to maintain alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance.

Provide technical leadership, govern solution designs and code quality, and enforce engineering standards. Support initiative planning, estimation, and sequencing. Act as the technical authority during delivery trade-offs and risk management. Own integration architecture, ensuring non-functional requirements like performance and reliability are met. Guide teams on cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and observability.

Lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents, driving permanent fixes and reducing defect leakage. Partner with ADM, QE, and SRE teams to enhance platform stability. Engage with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to shape solution options, define scopes, and translate technical concepts into actionable guidance.

Mentor intermediate and junior Guidewire developers, foster problem-solving skills, and build technical depth. Drive the creation and adoption of reusable components, accelerators, and blueprints to reduce duplication and long-term costs.

Requires a minimum of 3 years of dedicated Guidewire development experience. Must possess strong expertise across multiple Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and digital platforms like Jutro. Proven experience in managing technical delivery for multiple teams or modules is essential.

Demonstrated experience with complex integrations and distributed systems is a must. A solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and regulatory contexts is required. Candidates should have experience owning production stability and operational outcomes, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
