An Assistant Manager role focused on Guidewire Integration within an Engineering as a Service/Operate model in Bengaluru. This position involves technical ownership of Guidewire solutions, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards. You will lead technical direction, maintain quality, and act as the primary escalation point for technical issues.
This role extends beyond individual contributions, requiring you to guide senior and junior engineers while overseeing technical aspects across various domains. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining robust and efficient Guidewire platforms.

Take ownership of technical design and implementation for Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Digital platforms. Lead solution design for complex, cross-module requirements and ensure maximization of out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities.
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, governing solution designs, code, and configurations for quality. Establish and enforce engineering standards, support planning for complex initiatives, and act as the technical authority during trade-offs.
Own integration architecture quality and ensure non-functional requirements like performance and scalability are met. Guide teams on cloud-native patterns and DevSecOps practices, ensuring solutions are production-ready.
Lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents and drive permanent fixes. Partner with ADM, QE, and SRE teams to enhance platform stability. Collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts and Product Owners to shape solution options and define realistic scopes.
Mentor intermediate and junior Guidewire developers, building technical depth within teams. Drive the creation and adoption of reusable components and blueprints to reduce duplication and costs.
A minimum of 3 years of dedicated Guidewire development experience is essential. Strong expertise across multiple Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Jutro, is required.
Demonstrated experience with complex integrations and distributed systems is crucial. Proven ability to manage technical delivery across multiple teams or modules is necessary.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and their regulatory context. Experience owning production stability and operational outcomes is expected.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills are vital for success in this role. Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) delivery, DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, and observability tools is considered advantageous.
