Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and intuitive user interfaces for Disney's Ad Platform, utilizing Java and modern front-end technologies. Collaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering peers to deliver impactful features that enhance user-centric advertising experiences. Translate complex user stories into well-defined engineering tasks, overseeing them from development through to deployment. Provide valuable mentorship and support to teammates through code reviews, comprehensive documentation, and informal guidance. Enhance system observability by implementing robust metrics, monitoring, and alerting solutions. Participate actively in on-call rotations to uphold our commitment to operational excellence. Champion best practices in code quality, automated testing, and agile methodologies. Leverage automated tools, including AI, while strictly adhering to company policies.

A minimum of 9 to 12 years of comprehensive hands-on software engineering experience is required. Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java and its associated frameworks, such as Spring Boot and ORMs. Experience with ReactJS or other modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, Angular) is essential, alongside a willingness to embrace new technologies. A solid background in relational databases like MySQL and Postgres, including schema and query design, is crucial. Proven experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems is expected. A strong understanding of fundamental computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms, is a must. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, are highly valued. A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
