Join our dynamic Engineering team in Hyderabad as an Assistant Manager, focusing on AI & Data. This pivotal role centers on leading frontend development, combining extensive hands-on expertise in React and TypeScript with a talent for technical vision and team mentorship. You will be instrumental in shaping our frontend architecture, upholding engineering excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences that are both performant and scalable.
This position is ideal for a seasoned developer ready to step into a leadership role, influencing technical direction and driving the creation of high-quality digital products within our innovative Engineering as a Service environment.
Define and advance the frontend architecture, including component structure, state management, and API integration strategies. Champion TypeScript best practices to ensure type safety and robustness. Own the strategy for our design system, ensuring consistency, reusability, and adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
Develop production-ready code in React and TypeScript daily, implementing complex UI features such as data-intensive tables, real-time dashboards, and intricate workflows. Optimize application performance through advanced techniques and integrate seamlessly with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy using Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress, aiming for high critical-path coverage. Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines and oversee frontend observability through error tracking, performance monitoring, and alerting.
Lead a frontend engineering team, providing mentorship, conducting code reviews, and facilitating architectural discussions. Drive sprint planning and delivery commitments, while also actively participating in hiring processes by defining interview criteria and conducting technical evaluations.
A minimum of 9 years of professional frontend development experience is essential, coupled with at least 3 years of experience leading a frontend team or workstream. Deep, expert-level proficiency in React (including hooks, context, and concurrent features) and TypeScript is mandatory.
A strong understanding of browser internals, the rendering pipeline, and performance optimization techniques is required. Experience in building and maintaining design systems or component libraries, alongside a demonstrated ability to provide constructive code reviews and elevate team standards, is crucial.
A solid grasp of accessibility best practices, responsive design principles, and cross-browser compatibility is expected. Familiarity with Next.js, micro-frontends, or monorepo tooling would be advantageous, as would prior exposure to backend technologies or cloud platforms.
