Seeking a highly experienced Lead Backend Developer to architect and lead the development of scalable, reliable backend systems. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end backend service design, architecting fault-tolerant microservices, and implementing high-quality APIs. Emphasis on modern authentication/authorization patterns, security best practices, and seamless integration with frontend teams (React/TypeScript).

Lead the design and development of scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns. Architect distributed, fault-tolerant microservices with strong observability and performance. Implement robust REST and GraphQL APIs for efficient data flow and low-latency interactions. Design systems focusing on concurrency, multi-threading, and performance tuning. Implement modern authentication/authorization patterns like OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and RBAC. Collaborate with security teams to enforce secure coding practices and compliance. Partner with frontend engineering teams (React/TypeScript) to define API contracts and optimize data delivery. Design and maintain event-driven systems using messaging platforms (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ). Ensure systems are production-ready with comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting. Lead technical initiatives, guide architectural decisions, and mentor backend engineers through code reviews and pairing.

Requires 10+ years of professional experience building highly scalable backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. Expert understanding of distributed systems, service-to-service communication, caching, and data consistency. Proven experience designing and scaling APIs for large applications. Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, and data modeling. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerization, and Kubernetes. Solid foundation in testing methodologies including JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, integration, and contract testing. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects with minimal supervision.
