Join a dynamic Assurance team as an Assistant Manager, focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) in Mumbai. This role is part of National, a sector-agnostic group offering diverse industry experiences. The Assurance division aims to build trust and confidence by serving the public interest, promoting transparency, and supporting economic growth.
FAAS offers a wide range of services, including external audits, IFRS and US GAAP conversions, IPO support, and corporate treasury accounting. You will play a key role in managing and executing FAAS projects, developing innovative solutions, and fostering business opportunities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with leading clients and contribute to thought leadership within the firm.
Your primary responsibilities will involve managing and executing FAAS projects, including developing and implementing solutions for clients.
You will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage client accounts, and mentor junior team members, promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
Key areas of work include GAAP conversions (IGAAP to Ind-AS, IFRS to IGAAP), consolidation implementation, accounting manuals, transaction support, financial reporting, tax and tax reporting, IPO preparedness, and providing IFRS training and ad-hoc support.
Regular travel to meet key clients is expected. You will also integrate with other EY service lines for multi-disciplinary projects and contribute to marketing initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or hold an equivalent qualification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA.
A strong academic record with first or second-time passes from ICAI or equivalent is required. You should possess robust experience in IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting, ideally within large, complex companies, audit/advisory/transaction verticals, or MNC finance/M&A environments.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience. The ability to simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues for clients is crucial. An advisory mindset and aptitude for business development are essential, with a strong track record expected for senior roles.
Specific experience in transactions, IPO preparation, complex consolidations, tax planning, technical training delivery, or specialized financial reporting topics (e.g., revenue recognition, financial instruments) is highly desirable. Strong project management and excellent communication skills are mandatory.
