This role is for an Assistant Manager within the National Assurance team, specializing in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). The National team operates across various sectors, providing well-rounded experience. FAAS is crucial in inspiring confidence and trust in a complex world by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and supporting economic growth. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders.

Our service offerings encompass External Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), IFRS & US GAAP conversion, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury accounting. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects.

As an Assistant Manager, you will manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing tailored solutions. You'll have the chance to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, while also managing client accounts. A key part of your role involves coaching junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. You will integrate with other EY service lines on multi-disciplinary projects and contribute to thought leadership and marketing initiatives.

Regular travel will be essential to engage with key clients, including some of the most respected organizations in their fields. This role demands strong project management capabilities and excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues to diverse stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with technical subject matter experts to develop client solutions.

To be successful in this role, you must hold a professional qualification such as CA (or equivalent like CPA, ICAEW, ACCA) with a strong academic record, ideally passing ICAI exams in the first or second attempt.

You will need significant experience (3-5 years post-qualification) in IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting within large, complex companies. Prior experience in audit, advisory, transaction services, or a multinational finance/M&A environment is highly desirable. An advisory mindset is crucial, enabling you to develop practical solutions for clients.

Specific experience in areas such as transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs), IPO preparation, complex consolidations, IFRS 9, revenue recognition, financial instruments, or specific industry reporting (banking, insurance) is advantageous.
