This role is within our National Assurance team, specifically focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) in Mumbai.

Our Assurance team inspires confidence and trust in a complex world by serving the public interest, promoting transparency, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our service offerings encompass External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversion, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury accounting.

Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing innovative solutions. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, managing client accounts. Mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning. Collaborate with other EY service lines on multi-disciplinary projects. Contribute to thought leadership and participate in marketing initiatives. Regular travel is expected to meet with key clients, including industry leaders.

Key responsibilities include: - Managing FAAS projects and delivering solutions. - Identifying business development opportunities. - Coaching and developing junior talent. - Integrating with other EY service lines. - Contributing to thought leadership and marketing efforts.

To qualify for this role, you must possess a CA qualification (or equivalent like CPA, ICAEW, ACCA) with a strong academic record (first/second time passes for ICAI or equivalent).

We seek candidates with 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, demonstrating strong IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting expertise within complex/large companies, audit/advisory/transaction verticals, or MNC finance/M&A environments. An advisory mindset, the ability to simplify complex accounting issues, and strong project management skills are essential.

Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: transactions (acquisitions, IPOs, complex consolidations), tax planning, technical training delivery, or specific financial reporting topics such as revenue recognition, financial instruments, or consolidation. Business development aptitude is also valued. Excellent communication skills are a must.
