As an Assistant Manager, you will manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing tailored solutions for clients. This involves identifying business opportunities, managing client accounts, and coaching junior team members to foster technical excellence and continuous learning.

You will also integrate with other EY service lines for multi-disciplinary projects, contribute to thought leadership initiatives, and participate in marketing activities. Regular client interaction and travel are expected.

Key areas of responsibility include: - GAAP conversions (IGAAP to Ind-AS, IFRS to IGAAP for overseas acquisitions). - Consolidation implementation, accounting manual preparation, and accounting support for new consolidation systems. - Transaction support, including IFRS impact assessment for cross-border acquisitions and EBITDA analysis. - Carve-out and demerger accounting, as well as accounting policy alignment. - Tax and tax reporting solutions related to tax planning and structuring. - IPO preparedness assessments and project management of financial information production. - IFRS training, ad-hoc support, and advisory on new business models and specific transactions.

To excel in this role, you must be a qualified CA (or possess equivalent certifications such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA) with a strong academic record, ideally with first or second-time passes from ICAI or equivalent.

You should have robust experience in IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting, preferably within complex or large organizations, audit, advisory, transaction verticals, or multinational finance/M&A environments. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience is required.

Essential skills include the ability to simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues, an advisory mindset to develop client solutions, and business development aptitude. Specific financial reporting experience in at least one of the following areas is crucial: transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, IPOs), complex consolidations in MNCs, tax planning, technical training delivery, or specialized topics like revenue recognition and financial instruments.

Strong project management and excellent communication skills are also vital. We are looking for individuals who are collaborative, possess a practical approach to problem-solving, and demonstrate agility, curiosity, and creativity.
