This Assistant Manager role within the National Assurance team in Bangalore focuses on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and Financial & Accounting Advancement. The National team provides sector-agnostic experience across various industries. Assurance's purpose is to inspire confidence and trust in a complex world by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, supporting investor confidence, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our service offerings include External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversions, IPOs, and corporate treasury support.
Your key responsibilities will involve demonstrating technical excellence through a strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and International Auditing Standards. You will provide technical accounting advisory on complex topics such as business combinations, consolidation, shared-based payments, and financial instruments. Coordinate with on-shore technical accounting teams, conducting research on U.S. GAAP and IFRS pronouncements. You will manage projects, ensuring information flow and cross-functional coordination within the finance function. Handle accounting matters from initial client pitches to audit closing, showcasing strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills. Comfortably research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies. Be flexible for short-notice travel as needed. Experience with accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes, special matters, white paper writing, providing comprehensive technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, conducting research and analysis on accounting issues, preparing financial statements, and audit support is expected.
To qualify for this role, you must possess a Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) qualification. We require 3 to 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience. We are seeking individuals who can collaborate effectively across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.
