Join our Assurance team in Bangalore as an Assistant Manager, contributing to our Financial & Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice. As an Assistant Manager, you will manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing tailored solutions. You'll identify and cultivate business opportunities, potentially managing client accounts. This role involves coaching junior team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning, and integrating with other EY service lines on complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will also contribute to thought leadership initiatives and participate actively in marketing activities.

Regular travel is expected to engage with key clients. A significant aspect of the role is the ability to explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues in a clear, understandable manner. You will also need an advisory mindset, capable of developing client solutions with support from subject matter experts.

To excel in this role, a CA qualification (or equivalent like CPA, ICAEW, ACCA) is essential, alongside a strong academic record with first or second-time passes for ICAI or equivalent. You must possess robust experience in IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting, preferably within complex/large companies in audit, advisory, or transaction verticals, or in an MNC finance/M&A environment. We require a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong project management skills and excellent communication abilities. Experience in at least one of the following specific financial reporting areas is highly desirable: Transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers), IPO preparation, complex consolidation structures in MNCs, tax planning, developing technical training, or specific topics like revenue recognition and financial instruments. Business development aptitude is also a key attribute, particularly for senior roles.
