The opportunity focuses on an Assistant Manager role within National Assurance, specifically in FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services, based in Bangalore. This role involves contributing to sector-agnostic teams, gaining well-rounded experience across industries, and upholding Assurance's purpose of inspiring confidence and trust in a complex world. We protect the public interest by promoting transparency, supporting investor confidence and economic growth, and nurturing future business leaders.

Key responsibilities include supporting general ledger and sub-ledger integration, accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design. You will maintain ledger process maps, accounting treatment documentation, and end-to-end data lineage. This involves assessing accounting impacts of product/process changes, supporting target operating model design, and translating finance requirements into functional specifications. Collaboration with technology teams to shape solutions, define ledger controls, and drive improvements to reconciliations and close efficiency are crucial. You will also ensure solutions align with accounting standards and regulatory expectations, support audits, and contribute to governance forums.

Essential skills include strong experience in ledger/finance change within a large bank, covering GL, sub-ledgers, accounting rules, reconciliations, and close processes. A proven ability to lead end-to-end functional design and delivery across complex data flows and multiple source systems is required. Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and operational risk in regulated environments, along with experience in testing (SIT/UAT) is also necessary. Desirable experience includes exposure to IFRS/GAAP topics relevant to banking products, ledger platforms, integration patterns, data governance, and large-scale transformation programmes.
