This role is for an Assistant Manager within our National Assurance team, specializing in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). Our Assurance professionals inspire confidence and trust by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and supporting economic growth. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders.

Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing innovative solutions. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, managing client accounts. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering technical excellence and a commitment to learning. Collaborate with other EY service lines on multidisciplinary projects and contribute to thought leadership and marketing initiatives. Regular travel to meet with key clients is anticipated.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, or an equivalent certification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA. - A strong academic record with timely completion of professional exams. - Extensive experience in IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting within complex or large organizations, preferably in audit, advisory, transaction, or MNC finance/M&A environments. - A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience. - The ability to articulate complex accounting and financial reporting issues in a clear and concise manner. - An advisory mindset with a proven ability to develop client solutions with support from subject matter experts. - Business development acumen, with a strong track record expected for senior roles. - Specific financial reporting experience in areas such as: - Transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers, restructuring) - IPO preparation and listing rules (India/UK/US) - Complex consolidation structures in MNCs and ERP implementation - Tax planning and intricate structures - Delivering technical training - Specialized financial reporting topics like revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, consolidations, banking, and insurance. - Strong project management capabilities. - Exceptional communication skills.
