This Assistant Manager role within the National Assurance team, specifically the FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services division in Bangalore, offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse industries. Key responsibilities include delivering technical excellence in understanding and applying IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and International Auditing Standards. You will provide technical accounting advisory on complex topics such as business combinations, consolidation, share-based payments, and financial instruments. Coordinating with on-shore technical accounting teams for research assistance on US GAAP and IFRS pronouncements is also crucial.

This role requires primary responsibility for project management, ensuring smooth information flow and coordination among cross-functional finance team members. You will manage various accounting matters from initial client pitches to audit closings. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills are essential. You must be comfortable researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies, and demonstrate flexibility for travel on short notice.

Experience with accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes, special matters, and white paper writing is highly valued. You will provide comprehensive technical accounting guidance to clients, addressing complex issues and transactions, and conduct research and analysis on accounting matters, documenting findings and proposing solutions. Preparation of financial statements, including accounting policies and governance, along with managing accounting processes and providing audit support, are integral parts of this role.

To qualify for this Assistant Manager position, candidates must be a Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) with 3-6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
