This Assistant Manager role is within the National Assurance team, specifically focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). We support clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our services span External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversion, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury accounting.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting General Ledger and sub-ledger integration, defining accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design. You will also maintain ledger process maps, accounting treatment documentation, and ensure end-to-end data lineage.

Your responsibilities include assessing accounting impacts of product/process changes, supporting target operating model and ledger architecture design, and translating Finance requirements into functional specifications. You will collaborate with Technology teams to shape solutions and define ledger controls, driving improvements in reconciliations and close efficiency. Ensuring alignment with accounting standards and regulatory expectations, along with supporting audits, will be key.

We are seeking individuals with strong experience in ledger/finance change within large banking environments, covering GL, sub-ledgers, accounting rules, reconciliations, and close processes. Proven ability to lead end-to-end functional design and delivery across complex data flows is essential.

A solid understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and operational risk in regulated environments is necessary. Experience with testing methodologies like SIT/UAT, including defining test strategies and supporting defect triage, is also required. Desirable experience includes exposure to IFRS/GAAP, ledger platforms, data governance, and participation in large-scale transformation programs.
