As an Assistant Director - Policy Lead Support, you will be instrumental in navigating the complex landscape of AI regulation and public policy. Your expertise will ensure EY remains at the forefront of evolving AI governance, managing key Responsible AI policies and translating regulatory demands into practical firmwide standards. Collaborate closely with the Global Policy Lead to define and implement the organization's Responsible AI policy framework. This includes interpreting and maintaining related policies, guidance documents, FAQs, and stakeholder communications.

Contribute expertise to emerging AI topics such as transparency, accountability, sovereign AI, high-risk applications, and open-source AI. Work across Public Policy, Legal/GCO, Compliance, Risk Management, and service line leaders to monitor regulatory shifts, assess implications, and align internal strategies with external messaging.

Translate regulatory expectations into actionable controls and implementation plans. Prepare comprehensive regulatory updates and support materials for AI governance forums. Assist in managing third-party AI risk through due diligence and contractual alignment. Provide critical input for enterprise risk management materials on emerging AI regulatory developments and risk mitigation strategies. Develop concise training materials, playbooks, and FAQs to ensure effective adoption of Responsible AI requirements.

A Post Graduate degree or equivalent professional qualification in Law, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Risk/Compliance, or a related discipline is essential.

Bring at least 10 years of relevant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, legal/compliance, risk management, or technology regulation roles. Prior experience with AI, data, privacy, or emerging technology regulation, coupled with responsible innovation practices, is highly valued.

Possess strong public policy, regulatory affairs, legal/compliance, or risk management skills with a focus on AI, data, and privacy regulation. Expertise in policy drafting and interpretation is key, alongside a solid understanding of Responsible AI principles and AI governance frameworks. Familiarity with third-party risk and technology regulation implications for procurement is advantageous.

Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, project management capabilities, and strong judgment for handling sensitive topics. You should be adept at translating complex regulatory and risk topics into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences. A practical, solutions-oriented approach and responsiveness to complex business challenges are critical for success.
