Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Risk Management Services (RMS) team in Gurgaon, India, as an Assistant Director/Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide expert technical and delivery support for AI Risk and Governance initiatives. You will be instrumental in translating Responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements into actionable governance and technical measures.

Your work will involve assessing AI systems, identifying risks, reviewing technical evidence, and developing practical mitigation strategies. This position supports the responsible development, deployment, and monitoring of AI systems, including generative AI and machine learning solutions, in close collaboration with diverse stakeholders across technology, business, legal, and security functions.

Lead and coordinate AI Risk and Governance workstreams, ensuring clear visibility of milestones, dependencies, and risks. Facilitate cross-functional reviews with Global Risk Management, Service Lines, EY Technology, and various enabling teams. Develop, review, and maintain essential governance artifacts, including guidance documents, control requirements, and action trackers. Assist in creating and implementing practical plans for new AI guidance and controls, driving adoption across the organization. Support the entire AI governance lifecycle, from intake and risk assessment to post-deployment monitoring. Prepare compelling materials for AI governance forums and leadership reporting, detailing status, decisions, risks, and action items. Conduct technical assessments of AI systems to ensure alignment with Responsible AI principles, data protection, information security, and other critical requirements. Identify and evaluate technical AI risks, such as inaccurate outputs, bias, lack of explainability, and security vulnerabilities. Ensure proposed controls effectively mitigate identified risks throughout the AI lifecycle. Collaborate with technical teams to translate findings into clear risk statements and actionable remediation plans. Research emerging AI regulations and market trends, assessing their impact on workstream activities. Develop enablement materials, including playbooks and checklists, to guide teams in applying governance requirements.

A postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification in risk management, governance, technology, computer science, AI, data science, or a related field is essential. Approximately 10 years of experience in risk management, technology risk, or Responsible AI is required. Demonstrable experience reviewing AI systems, technology solutions, architecture, data flows, or model documentation is crucial. Proven ability to work effectively with risk management teams, technical SMEs, and global stakeholders. Experience in a Risk Management domain is advantageous. Project/program management, risk, compliance, or legal certifications are a plus. Strong command of drafting, research, communication, and Microsoft Office suite skills is expected. Relevant certifications in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, privacy, technology risk, audit, or project management are highly desirable. Experience applying AI regulations, governance frameworks, or technical standards in an enterprise setting is necessary.
