Our mission within the NVQuartz Team is to enhance engineering productivity, design quality, and scalability. We achieve this by creating scalable tools and methodologies that support diverse hardware designs across NVIDIA's product portfolio. As a key member of the Clocks Design Methodology Team, you will be instrumental in validating clocking methodology solutions for complex hardware clocking designs across various product lines. Your role will involve understanding intricate design requirements and translating them into robust validation strategies, automation frameworks, quality checks, and debug infrastructure.
You will develop and implement scalable methodology and automation solutions to address challenging engineering problems across different chip architectures. This includes creating and maintaining tools using C++, Python, Perl, and Tcl, leveraging NVIDIA's internal compilers and frameworks. Close collaboration with design, verification, architecture, and methodology teams will be crucial to ensure the delivery of high-quality tool capabilities, working effectively with Quality Assurance engineers for production-ready releases and engaging with global engineering teams across different time zones.
We are seeking an engineer with a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. A strong foundation in digital logic design and computer architecture, coupled with at least 1 year of practical experience, is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in software engineering, particularly in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Tcl, is required. Experience in developing CAD tools, engineering automation, or software infrastructure is highly valued. A solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles is necessary, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse engineering disciplines and a proven track record of strong problem-solving skills.
Experience building tools for hardware engineering teams is a significant advantage. Exposure to VLSI design flows, clocking methodologies, or physical design is considered a plus.
