Provide technical leadership for mechanical design and product development, guiding teams through complex decisions and challenges.
Lead the conceptualization, architecture, design, and development of mechanical components and subsystems for new and improved products.
Drive mechanical engineering activities across the NPI lifecycle, including concept, architecture, detailed design, prototyping, verification, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and product support.
Apply strong mechanical engineering fundamentals to drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, calculations, and manufacturing process selection.
Lead design reviews, identify technical risks, evaluate alternatives, and drive engineering solutions to closure.
Develop test and verification strategies to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, quality, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
A Master's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field is required.
Possess over 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to hands-on core product design and development.
Significant experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), new product development, and/or R&D environments is essential.
Demonstrated experience in owning mechanical design activities across multiple product development lifecycle stages and leading complex engineering problem-solving, guiding technical decisions, and mentoring engineers.
Strong command of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, calculations, and verification.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and decisions are a must.
