Companies choosing Google Cloud gain a significant advantage in expanding cloud computing's global reach. Upon adoption of Google Cloud products by educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their productivity, mobility, and collaboration. Your focus is on delivering maximum customer value and supporting fellow sales Googlers by resolving key technical challenges. You will collaborate with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to Google Cloud product enhancements.
As an Applied Solutions Architect within the Google Cloud Go-To-Market (GTM) team, you will serve as the vital technical link between customer business needs and Google's engineering expertise. You will partner closely with clients to understand their requirements, design scalable systems, and develop real-world applications through coding.
Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to grasp customer needs and existing technology environments, formulating comprehensive system architectures. Conduct iterative workshops with stakeholders to finalize project scope, consistently designing with the ultimate end-state in mind.
Transition fluidly between high-level architecture and detailed implementation, actively coding, building, and deploying cloud systems, ensuring technical designs materialize into functional, integrated solutions.
Architect and develop enterprise-grade AI solutions, including agentic workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and applied foundation models. Support these with highly scalable, cloud-native infrastructure, utilizing event-driven microservices, containerized workloads, and serverless compute.
Engineer functional Proof-of-Value (PoV) products that seamlessly integrate into customers' existing systems, demonstrating tangible business value. Ensure all development strictly adheres to engineering best practices, security standards, and scalability guidelines for a smooth production transition.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required.
Four years of experience are needed in cloud-native architecture within a customer-facing or support capacity. This includes experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms and building full-stack solutions that interface with enterprise systems.
Demonstrated ability to engage with or present to technical stakeholders or executive leaders is essential. Preferred qualifications include four years in software development, systems architecture, or a highly technical customer-facing role, with proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go.
Experience managing the technical pre-sales cycle, from initial scoping and architecture design to delivering successful integrated Proofs of Value (PoVs), is highly desirable. Deep experience with cloud-native application development and demonstrated success in designing and building AI applications are also preferred.
