As an Application Support Engineer, you will function as a software detective, identifying and resolving issues within critical business systems. This dynamic role involves a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the seamless operation of multiple application components.

Your primary focus will be on analyzing system behavior, monitoring performance, and collaborating with various teams to deliver timely solutions. This position is crucial for maintaining system reliability and ensuring optimal performance in a fast-paced environment.

Expected to operate independently and grow into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role. Actively participate and contribute to team discussions and problem-solving sessions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system interdependencies and the impact of reported issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a valuable knowledge base. Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system stability and support efficiency. Provide guidance and share knowledge with junior team members on complex technical challenges.

A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience with the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform is essential. Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing environments is required. Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze logs and system metrics effectively. Familiarity with scripting languages for automating routine tasks and supporting activities is beneficial. Experience utilizing monitoring tools to detect and respond to system anomalies is expected. A solid foundation of 15 years of full-time education is a prerequisite for this role.
