Drive critical climate operations initiatives across the APAC region. This role involves leading strategic projects focused on decarbonization, leveraging data-driven insights to shape regional strategy, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will be instrumental in translating high-level recommendations into actionable steps to accelerate carbon reduction goals.
As part of Google's Global Sustainability team, you will contribute to building a more sustainable future by developing and implementing impactful sustainability strategies. This includes driving programs in carbon, circular economy, water, and reporting, while championing sustainability efforts both internally and externally.
Provide strategic and technical direction for carbon reduction, clean energy, and water initiatives within APAC. Foster cross-functional teamwork to execute strategic projects aligned with Google's net-zero and sustainability commitments.
Engage with external experts and industry partners to advance regional climate priorities. Oversee a dynamic portfolio of strategic projects that enhance the climate operations organization and support its core objectives.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside a minimum of 8 years in program or project management. Significant experience, specifically 5 years, in carbon accounting, methodologies, or energy markets is essential.
Preferred qualifications include 10 years of experience in climate science, GHG Standards, or the energy sector, and 8 years managing cross-functional projects. Experience leading complex strategic initiatives, developing data-driven insights, and presenting recommendations to executive leadership is highly valued. A strong organizational aptitude and execution focus are also beneficial.
