As an AMM Author, your core responsibility will be to prepare, update, and validate Airbus Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) content for Airframe and Systems.
You will analyze engineering inputs, Service Bulletins, design changes, and customer requests. Tasks include preparing and updating AMM/TSM procedures, maintenance tasks, and related technical documentation, ensuring strict compliance with Airbus authoring standards, ATA specifications, and project guidelines.
Further duties involve interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, IPC, SRM, and source data. You will create and maintain technical content using designated Airbus authoring tools and incorporate review comments efficiently. Coordination with Engineering, Quality, and Program teams is essential to meet Right First Time (RFT) and On-Time Delivery (OTD) objectives, alongside performing self-quality checks.
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 9 years of experience with a strong understanding of AMM and aircraft maintenance documentation.
Key qualifications include familiarity with AMM content preparation and validation, working with airframe and system documentation under Airbus authoring standards and regulatory guidelines. A solid grasp of engineering drawings, schematics, IPC, SRM, and source data interpretation is required.
Knowledge of ATA chapters, aircraft systems, and concepts like S1000D/iSpec 2200 is crucial. Experience with Airbus authoring tools and the ability to incorporate review comments within deadlines are essential.
