This position places you at the forefront of regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include policy development and enhancement, managing reporting and licensing, providing broad oversight, and collaborating with internal and external teams. You will proactively identify and resolve policy gaps, ensuring all teams understand the importance of compliance and that Google's operations are always secure.

Possess a strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/CFT regulations and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 (PMLA).
Conduct financial investigations and report suspicious transactions accurately.
Monitor, report, and actively manage associated risks.
Assist in maintaining oversight of Payments Compliance legal and contractual obligations within India.
Verify the effectiveness of policies and procedures against current compliance requirements.
Oversee merchant onboarding and transaction monitoring programs in India, managing all reporting duties.
Execute transaction monitoring escalation reviews and SAR filings efficiently.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Four years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting fields.
Demonstrated experience with Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding, due diligence, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting, including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Preferred candidates will have five years of regulatory compliance experience, specializing in KYC/AML monitoring.
Experience in data organization and applying business context to enhance processes is advantageous.
Working knowledge of or significant exposure to highly regulated sectors like the payments industry is a plus.
Expertise in regulatory guidelines for KYC, AML, CFT, and PMLA Rules is essential.
Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet high standards.
