EY is seeking a forward-thinking AI Ethics & Governance Manager to join our GDS Assurance Digital team. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing robust ethical standards and compliance frameworks for our AI and data practices. Develop and deploy comprehensive AI governance frameworks, including policies and best practices. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI deployment. Lead the process for obtaining internal AI certifications for AI products. Stay abreast of evolving AI regulations and ensure consistent product compliance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to embed AI governance into development lifecycles. Deliver impactful training and workshops on AI governance best practices. Monitor and audit product adherence to AI policies and procedures. Develop key metrics to measure the effectiveness of AI governance initiatives.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law, or a related field is required. We are looking for candidates with 8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Essential technical skills include a deep understanding of AI ethical considerations and risks, familiarity with major AI regulations and compliance requirements, and a strong grasp of data science, machine learning, and Generative AI concepts. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are crucial for success in this role.
Additional qualifications include a keen interest in the intersection of politics, legislation, and data/AI, familiarity with data governance frameworks, and exposure to law practices. The ability to influence diverse stakeholders and work both independently and collaboratively is highly valued.
