NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer, also known as a Senior Java Engineer, to join our dynamic team. As an AI Engineer/Senior Java Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java/Spring Boot applications and integrations. This includes creating and managing REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations. You will analyze existing integration architectures to identify opportunities for enhancing scope towards comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

Key duties involve collaborating with local and BMP teams to gather business and technical requirements, as well as critically reviewing and validating AI-generated code. You will ensure AI-generated code adheres to enterprise standards for quality, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, and test coverage. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews for offshore team members, and identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI for development enhancements.

This role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+. Profound experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework is essential, alongside a proven ability to develop REST APIs and microservices. A solid understanding of API integrations and enterprise integration patterns is necessary.

Candidates must have experience with SQL/relational databases, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Proficiency in unit and integration testing is expected, as is strong experience in code review and technical design. Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code is mandatory. The ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated code, rather than solely relying on its output, is a key requirement.
