EY is seeking an Associate Director to spearhead the architecture, engineering, and operational advancements of enterprise-scale AI platforms. This pivotal role focuses on driving intelligent operations and enhancing digital employee experiences.

The position encompasses the full product lifecycle, from development to ongoing improvement, requiring extensive knowledge in Agentic AI, Generative AI, enterprise application architecture, data platforms, automation, observability, and AI Operations. As a key technology leader, you will shape the enterprise architecture strategy for AI-powered platforms, design robust and scalable solutions, and ensure the widespread adoption and effective operation of AI capabilities.

Success demands a proven track record in architecting, building, and operating secure, resilient, and highly available enterprise products. You'll champion innovation, operational excellence, and the adoption of AI solutions across the organization, transforming emerging AI technologies into production-ready solutions that deliver tangible business value.

Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end architecture vision, standards, and technical strategy for enterprise AI and Agentic AI solutions. You will design single- and multi-agent architectures, including orchestration, reasoning, memory management, tool integration, and human-in-the-loop controls.

This role involves architecting AI-powered operational capabilities for observation, correlation, diagnosis, prediction, prevention, and resolution of technology issues. You will design intelligent conversational experiences and architect enterprise knowledge and intelligence platforms utilizing various data sources and technologies like RAG and knowledge graphs. Furthermore, defining Generative AI architecture, including model strategy, grounding, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails, is crucial.

You will architect scalable enterprise applications using distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native patterns. Establishing reusable integration patterns, defining architecture standards for security, privacy, Responsible AI, and governance are core duties. Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across architecture, engineering, and platform teams, as well as ensuring services meet availability and reliability objectives, are essential aspects of this position.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in enterprise architecture, modern application engineering, and AI platform design. A strong understanding of Agentic AI, Generative AI, multi-agent systems, orchestration, memory architectures, tool integration, and AI evaluation methodologies is required.

Proven ability to architect and operate large-scale, highly available, and resilient enterprise platforms is essential. Expertise in enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native engineering is expected. Experience in establishing observability, reliability engineering, AIOps, LLMOps, and AgentOps practices for enterprise platforms is highly valued.

Strong understanding of enterprise security, identity management, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI principles is critical. Exceptional problem-solving and systems-thinking capabilities, coupled with strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive engagement skills, are necessary. The ability to influence technical direction, lead complex initiatives, and mentor high-performing engineering teams is also key.
