The Government and Public Sector Transactions Services practice, part of EY's Transaction Advisory Services, combines private sector best practices with a deep understanding of public sector needs. This multidisciplinary team works with leading businesses across various industries, offering implementable strategies grounded in sector expertise, transaction perspectives, and operational insights. Our focus areas include Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory, Water, Waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities, and Public Finance & Management.

Provide hands-on expertise in environmental screening, due diligence, and impact assessment for infrastructure projects using approved tools. Develop and update Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) to ensure compliance with safeguard frameworks, loan covenants, and statutory requirements. Review contractor ESMPs, integrate environmental considerations into bid and contract documents, and oversee field-level implementation.

Possess working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management, including hazardous materials, transformer oil, PCB equipment, SF6 gas, and solar panel disposal. Support groundwater sustainability initiatives, manage stakeholder consultations, implement Grievance Redressal Mechanisms (GRM), and handle regulatory reporting for development projects.

A strong educational background in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning, or a related environmental discipline is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience in environment-related roles within Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) projects is essential.
