This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as the primary contact for GDS tasks assigned by global client serving assurance teams. You will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of deliverables while overseeing daily engagement operations.

Lead and mentor a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Associates to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of work according to EY methodology. Develop strong relationships with engagement teams, particularly in the Americas and Europe, and embed EY's Risk Management procedures. Drive the transition of new engagements to GDS Assurance, maintaining exceptional service quality. Proactively manage workflows, allocate resources, and monitor team performance and utilization. Contribute to technical and soft-skills training, foster a positive work environment, and actively participate in organizational initiatives.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and standardize assurance practices by leveraging best practices across engagements. Delegate effectively, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to help team members grow and develop.

We are looking for qualified accountants with at least 5-6 years of post-qualification experience for Chartered Accountants (ICAI), or 7-8 years for ACCA/CPA. Prior articleship with top or mid-tier accounting firms is essential. Experience within a mid- or top-tier accounting firm focused on external or assurance reviews, or within an MNC/larger Indian company's shared service environment, is highly valued. Big 4 firm experience (Indian or Global practice) is also a significant advantage.

Essential skills include expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards, with UK GAAP, US GAAP, or International assurance standards being a plus. Strong English communication (verbal and written), effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation, and presentation skills are required. Project management, leadership, coaching, and supervisory abilities are key. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is expected. A keen interest in business and commerciality is ideal.
